The wonderful memories of times we brought our caravan to Ilam over the last 5 years will be treasured for ever. Norman was so kind in ensuring that we had the best pitch with idyllic views and he always insisted on opening the site gate for us - such a gentleman. Our enduring friendship was never compromised by our friendly banter over our respective backgrounds north or south of the Watford Gap! Our visit to Milestone gave us equally happy memories of the day spent with Norman and June, visiting Southwell and Newark and we were delighted when they agreed to visit us in Cambridge, barely a year ago. Norman recommended a visit to the McPherson museum on our caravan holiday to Scotland earlier this year - most memorable - our telephone conversations and text messages will be greatly missed Norman was a most knowledgeable, entertaining, thoughtful, modest and unassuming friend.
